Book idears

In order to gain ideas about book layout/ designe and how I would ultimately layout my own work, I looked at many books, below are some of the books which I looked at but I also looked at many many more for ideas.

 When looking at these books I looked at the feel of the book, the size of the book and layout. I looked at where text was positioned, what the text said, its relevance to the image as well as size and font relevance to the image. I looked at the size of images, whether they were full bleed or were there a series of images on a page. I looked at page numbers and their positioning. I also looked at the title of the book and where it featured on the cover. I also looked at the consideration as to where the image that was used on the cover was then placed within the book. I looked at books with and without dust jackets as well as hard backed books and soft back books. I also looked to see what was included on the back cover and the first page of the book. I also looked at the colour of the pages and the consideration that had been taken into each book and how none of them flowed the same set way of working but were designed around the work.
